Teardrop for sale, 5x9 ~SOLD~

Postby HABSFAN2006 » Tue Aug 18, 2009 10:00 am

Unfortunately, I will have to sell my teardrop. It is a homebuilt, I love how spacious it is inside, and how light it is to tow. Have only used it a few times, and there is some work to be done to finish it. Hopefully someone will be willing to take this project on with only a little of the easier work left to be done to finish it, and really have it customized to how they want it. Here is some of the info, any questions, please ask!
-2x1x1/8 welded steel frame.
-2500lb axle/springs
-1" plywood walls good one side on inside & varnished.
-5/8" floor & shelf dividers routered in walls at all points, glued and screwed.
- All fasterners are stainless steel, including box to frame carriage bolts.
-hard foam insulated roof
-.040 aluminum sheeting with aluminum trailer/rv mouldings
-TD windows & galley hinge
-12v wired for lights & accessories in middle inside cupboad.
-54" x 76" inside dimension
-4" bedding foam
-stained/varnished pine inside cupboards (& shelves), completed.

To be completed is:
mouldings around windows on inside
mouldings over some joints/corners on inside
galley cupboards / mouldings / flooring
Asking $3700.

It looks very nice. Unfortunately, we're a bit of a distance from Ontario (although we do enjoy visiting it at times). Is your price US $3700 or CDN $3700, for those who might actually be in a position to purchace?

We're probably about 10 hours from Ottowa. We actually got engaged ON the Ottowa (river) 5 years ago. :)

We're at the beginning stages of trying to decide between building and buying. Still need to figure out what it is that we're looking for in a TD, but hey, if you're in the area anytime, I'm sure I can get Ed to come look at it. 8)

Good luck,
Rose

AS IS unfinished I have calculated the weight being 900lbs.
Tongue weight is roughly 100lbs.

this will change as it does get finished.
Finished / loaded weight might be around 1100lbs
and tong weight 100-150lbs
( a lot of the weight will be added behind teh axle)

I often pickup the front and roll it around the yard alone without too much trouble(which is really nice with a teardrop).

My 14hp lawn tractor moves it up my huge hills

So there's no problem for any 4cyl. car to pull this trailer.

Thanks for lookin...
