Trudy ,.... goodness girl ! Happy healing !

You need to be the head chef this time... just boss around Gary and Jeff and the other DO cooks and the rest of us will fry bacon or bring coffee.

I thought a Saturday night potluck was a given. Yes lets plan on a potluck dinner on Saturday night. We should decide on a time so that people can plan ahead. Say 6PM? If that's to late or early speak up now.

It is looking like a nice sized gathering, we may have to sit outside the fire ring this year.

Hope your arm is getting better Trudy.

Sorry can't be there

Postby godsy » Sun Aug 30, 2009 12:45 am

I was hoping I'd get to another gathering, but I will be in Winfield KS for the Walnut Valley Festival - gonna set up my gypsy campsite I'll be there for Land Rush on Sept 10 through the 20th. The festival actually starts on the 17th. If anyone is traveling through southern Kansas on the way to the gathering come on by if you like acoustic music.

firewood restrictions?

Postby Nathan N » Mon Aug 31, 2009 9:10 pm

Does anyone know of any restrictions on firewood? I searched around on the Kansas Parks web site and couldn't come up with answer.

I looked through the reservation packet and saw nothing about bringing in wood. We'll need a bunch for that fire pit so bring it along.

I drove through the park yesterday and asked the gate guard about firewood. He said they don't sell any at the park and didn't know where to get some. I'll call the ranger next week and see if he knows where to pick some up.

I plan to bring some since there aren't any restrictions.
