Hey, Al, very good progress. Maybe you get a skin and basic stuff you need on the trailer so it is ready for the end of summer campout. I can see that it takes quite a lot of time to get one of these trailers built. And I am just beginning my design phase. I am hoping to have a TD built by next summer, but now I am not sure. Great to see your progress in your build and has opened my eyes. Well, back to the drawing board on my Macintosh and MacDraft (my Mac CAD program). Thanks...

Most people I think probably don't take as long as I have taken. I work slow, in part because I am new to working with wood. Also, because with a fulltime job, two part-time jobs, and a family of 5, I have limited opportunities to schedule a large chunk of time to it. There was a fellow recently posted who built his in less than a month!

Hey Gang,

Got an hour in on the camper tonight. Placed the first panel of the front inner skin. Used 1/4" luan. Plan to work on the camper as much as I can the next four days, over the weekend.



Friend David from the T&TTT list is coming over Saturday to consult and help, too. Plan for much progress, with an emphasis now on design/build of the galley hatch, wiring and some more of the inner skin.

Anyone else want to stop over Saturday and join in the fun and consultation, or just say "Hi", you're welcome! Pizza on me!

Hey Gang,

David from the T&TTT list came over for a few hours after he got off work tonight. We started working on the wiring.

We're running both 110v and 12v.

That's funny!

I am going to have 110v outlets in the hatch and in the galley. I am not planning on having air cond, at this point. Could add it later, if needed, I suppose. Going to start out with the fantastic vent van, then an O2 Cool fan in the front window, to move the air around.

Al, I'm right there with you. My teardrop started two months before yours and you're ahead of me on your build. Patience is not one of my personality traits, and my build has tested this many times, but I plow ahead. I was shooting for fall camping, but that isn't going to happen. My revised schedule is spring.
