Well, there is a fire ring there about twice as big as your pickup bed... and we'll have to let the South Central camping that weekend in DFW to look north for the glow ....

Just wondering if anyone knew approx. how many people might be showing up? I'm having my wife make some lasagna. Will anyone have a microwave with them for reheating, or i guess i could reheat over a fire?

You never really know what the turnout will be. Often things come up or people just change there minds at the last minute. I don't think I'd make any more than for 10 people if it were me. Every pot luck I've been to has had lots of left over food.

Sue and I are working hard towards making the trip. Image

Still have a job :worship: :applause: So it's just a matter of getting the camper "campable". We may come half way on Thursday. It will be the maiden voyage of the "Country Squire" so who knows how far we will actually get. :worship: Looking forward to it! :)

Watch out ! Don't feel like you have to make a huge amount !!! Or more than one thing! We always have SOOO much food , so consider everyone else making a dish or so , and if you're doing lasagna or a casserole for example, just one 13x9 pan is fine.

I will likely do deviled eggs... we'll see

I originally posted I would be by myself but I got the date wrong on Macy's dance weekend. She will be coming with me. Because I got the date wrong we get two weekends in a row in the TD. Yeahhhhhh. Can't wait to see everyone.

Flying In...

Postby GeoDrop » Fri Sep 11, 2009 9:26 am

Just starting to dream about a teardrop, kicking around ideas and such. I've learned that seeing the real deal can help make a decision on design, so I'm planning on flying into Ft. Scott airport and grabbing the courtesy car, and driving down to mingle with you guys-n-gals. Watch for the guy who looks out of place. :-)
