Pop up camper question

Postby Jst83 » Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:41 pm

I know I've posted on this before with no luck but it's been bugging me again.
I'm trying to find out info on a popup camper my parents owned in the mid to late 70's. It wasn't new at that time no idea how old it was.
The thing I remember about it was that it only popped up on one end and while it was down you could crawl in and still sit at the table and have windows. so you could sleep on the table/bed without putting it up.

I did find a neat popup site while I was looking, not that I'd ever consider getting a pop up.

Here's my (very) crude drawing of what I remember it looking like

Thank you for reading and any help you might be able to give.

Think I got my answer, I emailed the gentleman at the above web site and he was able to come up with this from just a description. He got back to me within 2 hours of emailing him and I didn't expect to even hear back.

Look my sketch wasn't to far off not bad for going from memory of 30+ years ago

Scott,

Are you going to build one of those? As pictured, or are you going to modify the design?

Neither I've just been obsessing on what it was. I have no idea what ever happened to it.

What I'm really thinking about doing is rebuilding this one, not real sure what it is it has no markings or title.
I think the guy will part with it for $50 he sold my friend an old Shasta for $100

Here's the Shasta my friend and his wife are re doing

Gotcha...

I don't know what the first one is, but the second one looks like a 72 Shasta!
