New from Texas

Postby rockinrobin » Fri Sep 11, 2009 10:47 pm

Hi Im new from the Texas Panhandle, have not met anyone yet except Firelion, I bought his Little Traveler. Picked it up Labor Day weekend. Firelion is a very interesting and generous person, wished we would have had more time to spend with him. Looking forward to meeting more of you. Still working on the picture thing, this will have to do for now. :? Rockinrobin

Welcome to the madness! From your other post, looks like you'll be making it to LCG, it's great place and a good time. Look forward to meeting you.

Hey Ronnie, hope you're enjoying the tear. Welcome to the forum. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, if ya haven't already found 'em, there are stabilizer jacks under the rear of the trailer, pull 'em over and down.
I kind of miss seeing that tear in my garage but I'm looking forward to my new Bak-Pak. Hope to see ya again at a campground or a gathering. Bob.

Welcome!!! You got a mighty fine trailer there from Bob .

I hope you'll love camping with us ! Some of us were at Palo Duro back in May . LCG is the next BIGGIE if you want to make a trip to Shreveport, it will be well worth it !

Another camping trip , don't know if you'd be interested, is at Ray Roberts Lake the first part of December. Near Denton, TX.

Plainview, you say. How's McDonald's Trading Post these days? I used to like to visit. And drool.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

LCG is our region's biggest gathering, so it is well worth the drive.

We also do Palo Duro Canyon around May. That should be a bit easier for you to get to.

There was a gathering in Cloudcroft, NM, too. That may become a regular event.

Hopefully you will get to do a lot of gatherings.

My information says I am a teardrop biulder. Have not built one but I have had plans for four years. Does that count. After I noticed I was not growing younger like Benjiman Button, and an airplane restoration project keeps getting in my way, decided to look for one for sale. Was very fortunate to find Firelion. Still have the urge to biuld, just not urgent now. Rockinrobin :?

Very much looking forward to Palo Duro (60 miles) and Cloudcroft. I am a transplanted New Mexican, 38 years in TX tho. Rockinrobin :?

I bought my first TD. It gave me a chance to camp in it for a couple years and think about what I really wanted in a build.

One easy way to get rid of the "teardrop builder" tag line is to replace it with "donating member." ;)
