Curious about your hatch. Is it gonna be one piece or is the bottom gonna be a separate piece? If it's all one piece you might want to check and be sure your hook is gonna open without problems, you come back pretty far. Otherwise it looks good.

doesn't anyone wonder about the duck/bird on the right? Feels like you are looking at one of those hidden pictures in kid's highlights magazine.

My plans were one piece, but after testing, I might make it to the before the last "hook" and make some kind of storage.. as you can see my hatch its about 2 feet wide, I am already struggling for storage. But I will slow down and continue with the cabin area, I still need to power it (120v-12v) and I know that will take some time,, plus I don't want to skin it until I know I have all the lighting and audio ready.. as you can see, I can't live without music,, I already installed a stereo, four smalls speakers and double coil subwoofer.,, I plug the dvd to the stereo and it sound as if I was in the movies.. 8)
I know the doors will keep me busy for a while too.. I have never work with aluminum,, so I better get me some good leather gloves,,if not I will end up in the ER..

Buy him a pair of gloves so he can help with the aluminum! The sooner you're done, the sooner he can sleep in the bed!

Wait till ya go to trim them out :?

That's why mine arn't done !

Do yourself a big favor and make an extra door to use as a pattern for the trim. You can make it out of something cheap like 1/4" ply or luan but it will be a big help. The only other way is to remove a door and use it or the opening to get a pattern.
Growing older but not up !

Ok, so I am back and working again in my Rusty-drop, my question is, Can I continue to add my advance in the same thread or do I have to make a new one? I woulds rather continue on this and have all my history under just it. thanks.

I'd keep adding to this thread. The board admins will probably PM you to ask if it is okay to move the thread.

I agree, just keep adding to this thread. Just make sure when you post new pictures to update the subject line to let everyone know. Also, you can ask one of the mods to move this to the new Build Journal section.
