Funny products and or warnings

Postby Aaron Coffee » Sat Sep 19, 2009 2:44 pm

Was looking at a paint gun at Harbor Freight, as I was looking all over the box for cfm requirements, I saw these safety warnings on the bottom(my paraphrase a little)
1. Do not exceed 250 pounds. Do not exceed weight recommended weight limits.
2. Use as recommended. Do not stand on chair.

I almost bought it just for that.
Any body else have any funny labeled products or warnings?
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

I have been a fan of "chinglish" since I bought the shop manual for or 77 Subaru (OK it was Japanese).

two of my favorites:
On a Dr. Pepper bottle: "(!) WARNING: CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. CAP MAY BLOW OFF CAUSING EYE OR OTHER SERIOUS INJURY. POINT AWAY FROM PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHILE OPENING."

and this is the small sized bottles NOT the 2 liter.

From a Superman costume cape: Warning: Use of This Device Does Not Enable Wearer To Fly

You know someone had to get popped in the eye or tried to fly so this stuff gets put on the product.

Our company used to produce japanese-language magazines. To do that, we had a japanese editorial staff who were from--you guessed it--Japan.

When they returned from vacation, they would bring back T-shirts, various products and pictures that would entertain for hours. I miss the Pocky they would bring back...you couldn't get the flavors here in the states.
