Dale,
I am using this Automatic Charging Relay (ACR) near my trailer battery. The price is about the same and it appears to have the same function as the battery isolator in your link. Just the name is different. At 80 amp max continuous this one does not carry as much current, but since I have 25 amp fuses between the batteries in the tow vehicle and trailer it should be plenty. The charge wire from my tow vehicle to the trailer battery is hot all the time so the relay protects against inadvertent depletion of the tow vehicle battery while camping. Other folks may have more interesting setups. I am not sure who it was, someone was using two batteries in the tow vehicle plus a trailer battery and running radio equipment while camping. For me the most critical thing is to protect engine starting capability, especially when remote camping. I can get along without reading lights, but if the tow vehicle engine does not start.....

On this relay the connect/disconnect voltage and overvoltage protection can be set by set screws. I did that once and have not changed it since. The batteries combine if either has a voltage of 13.4 or greater. The relay opens if both batteries are 12.6V or less and the relay also opens when the voltage is 15 or more. Three LED's indicate which mode the relay is in. The ACR is sealed, which might be a plus if flammable gas is a concern.
