This is looking a little too much for a firsty!

So the suspended seats in the kitchen are scaring you, eh? Sorry about that!

It's 78" wide, outside to outside. Yes the bed could go crosswise... but I opted to leave it lengthwise, so I don't have to crawl over Chell!

Scott,

I exported the Alto_WW in sketchup format. Please check it and tell me if you can read it...

P.s. If you can read it, I'd love to see a screenshot!!!

I would put up with the crawl over to have a potty cabinet. The pop up my parent had had a wardrobe that had an area for a portipotty.

It just looks a little complicated for a first build. Maybe if I thunk on it that will change. I might play with it in sketchup if I could figure out how not to ruin it!

Thanks for the Sketchup drawing. Mt wife and I have looked at this and we both like it, first big hurdle in building. The more we have talked I think we will do the porta-pottie thing and do an outside shower with a shower tent. I have the drawings downloaded, but the dimensions are coming up a little funny, like 4000+ inches long. We love the design and soon I will start to order items to begin the frame

that's strange... I guess you'll have to scale it to the size you want. The wheel is 26" in diameter. The length is 16' or 192"

I tried several more times to get it into usable units, but I couldn't do it...

the file is definitely in mm, when it should be in inches.

to get a usable dimension, just divide by 25.4.

I Really like this design.

Postby Wild Bill » Sun Sep 27, 2009 7:34 pm

I think that this design is almost exactly what I am wanting to build. I would build it in the size it is when it is up. This is What I have been sketching on paper, do not know how to do all the computer stuff. Curb side entry door ahead of axle, rear queen size bed, small table and seating for 2 that would also make a small Guest Bed for a child. Possible Porta Potty built into one of the seats and set up for an outdoor shower with a 12v Pump system. This would be built into the galley hatch with a curtain rail all around. Kitchen converts to a shower. I like tear drops but I want to be able to stand up and get dressed, the trailer is really a bedroom/Bathroom combo and I would only eat in it if the weather was real bad. I would build a galley in the rear just like a tear. May I use this design?? I have 14 feet and 6'6" to work with. Thanks Bill

Road-Rocket

I looked at the sketchup pic. I started thinking of the 70's song

Afternoon Delight
The Starland Vocal Band

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto's always been; when it's right, it's right.
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night.
When everything's a little clearer in the light of day.
And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
looking forward to a little afternoon delight.
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
and the thought of rubbin' you is getting so exciting.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who wouldn't bite
But you've got some bait a waitin' and I think I might try nibbling
a little afternoon delight.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Please be waiting for me baby when I come around.
We could make a lot of lovin' 'for the sun goes down.

Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.

Hmmm good on so many levels!
