Convert TD 4 Sale in OR- REVISED Final Offer

After reading through this post, I realized I sounded like I was whining. Wasn't trying to, but sometimes you have to go back and edit...

It looks as though I'll be keeping this trailer for a while; but, I thought I'd throw out one final offer...

I can sell the trailer for $4500 after removing the following equipment:

1 12vdc Coleman cooler and 110vdc power brick adapter
1 propane grill/stove
1 propane extension hose
2 gas bottles
1 fire extinguisher
4 frame mounted stabilizer jacks
5 wheel jacks
1 deep cycle battery
1 5.30x12 5 lug wheel and tire
1 spare tire mount
1 spare tire cover
1 12vdc battery charger/maintainer
1 coupler lock
3 underframe storage boxes, keyed alike
1 folding side table
4 stabilizer jack blocks
1 elliptical axle jack
2 folding wheel chocks
1 set tire changing tools
1 Seasense battery box
4 stakesides with hardware
2 battery LED lights
4 lifting jack mounts
8 stake pockets with hardware and pins

I can remove the above equipment and sell the trailer for $1500 less than the original price. This option puts it inline with most other trailers that don't come with all the extras. I'm not planning on advertising the trailer on other sites anymore (although I do have a partner who may veto that).
Some people have complained about simply not wanting anything extra. "I already have a ( )", stove, battery, etc. fill in the blank.
The "Teardroppers" have been great, and kind, especially the Jefferson State group.

Someone can always "build it cheaper".
Someone out there always knows someone who "just bought one for half the price".

If you're selling a cheap slobbered together whatever with shiny paint, people will fall all over themselves to buy it.

If you're selling something of quality and value, reread the "if you're selling" sentence.

The market for anything "expensive" is small for the same reason teardrops are so popular in the first place; Most anyone can build one.

As some, but not all, are aware, there is a huge difference between "my first trailer project", and "a quality project".

Those who claim they can build one cheaper probably can.
A teardrop is a teardrop...right?

This is interesting to me. Ive built one and bought one (little guy). I understand the craftsmanship that goes into them. But for $4,500 a person could jsut buy a year old little guy. I think thats where people are coming from when they say the things they are saying. I hope you can sell it. But, ive noticed in this forum that people get emotional about the asking price. Hope you get it sold at a price you want... to me there is a HUGE difference between a used "one of a kind", especially one with SUCH cool features, and a factory model.

Of course, this is why most people are rushing to get into cookie cutter houses to the detriment of better built older houses that are unique and individual... they have to have "exactly" what the neighbors have.

Honestly (though I could NEVER afford it) your price is VERY reasonable for what you have built. I've seen several around here go for similar prices on CL. Ignore the people who are just jealous they can't afford it. My response? Then get it cheaper.
