Hello, from Missouri

Postby eveningprimrose » Sun Sep 27, 2009 9:20 pm

Hello, from Branson, Missouri!

My husband and I have been working on plans for building a teardrop, for about five years, now. I even signed up on this forum about five years ago, but can't remember our username or password.

About 3-years ago, we bought the trailer to build the teardrop, and that's as far as it went. My daughter knows how much I've been wanting one, and she knows that we just haven't had time to even start building one. So, for my birthday in June, she came to visit me, pulling a brand-new, direct-from-the-factory "Little Guy 5-Wide", behind her. That was my Birthday/Mother's Day present, from her. What a daughter!

If this were a perfect world, we would have built one in the retro style, but it doesn't get much better than the "Little Guy" that she bought for me. We immediately took it on a two night excursion, about ten miles from our house, just to "test it out". Then, a couple of weeks ago, we towed it to "Land Between the Lakes", for 7-nights. Now, we're going to another campground, here in town, tomorrow. We found out that this local campground is open year-round, so we are planning on spending our days off camping there, quite a bit. Next spring, we'll head out of town, some more.

I can't get over how many people want to see the inside of it. Everyone is fascinated with it. The campground hosts keep driving by, and then finally stop and ask if they can see it. I'm doing lots of things to personalize it, and make it "our own". I'm looking forward to reading all of the things that all of you are doing.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I started reading the "ladies threads" last night and I really enjoyed them. My husband is going to love this forum, too.

I'm going to have to look-up QueenieJeanie. I have seen a teardrop here in town, and several people have reported seeing a teardrop here. I was wondering if it was a local or a tourist. Now I know!

I would love to go to a Teardrop gathering. I'll have to check that out and see if we can get some time off of work. 8)

Yeah, great present...I did PM back to you and now I have my answer,,,it is you. Welcome to OUR WORLD....as you have found we are never alone....Interest is always abounding no matter where you are. Even in the grocery store parking lot. A guy at a campground a few weeks ago said it best to his wife. she was concerned he was bothering us...."If you own a rig that looks like this you want & expect to show it off...lol lol lol" QueenieJeanne
HEY a tiny trailer. Whatever it takes.
