Back At It Here in The Arctic

Postby Classic Finn » Sun Sep 27, 2009 5:58 pm

After a very longtime of not getting much done due to different circumstances I was glad to get going on the tear once again. I had a fun day today.

I finally got the 1st coat of Marine Urethane on the cabinet doors and started reassembly of the galley.

Here are a few pics even though only a small start. The doors are still wet.
The centers are Mahogony. And the door frames are Finnish birch.

And reassembly of the galley started. Got the bottom frame aluminum edge piece bent and back in place.

Also we found a couple of boxes of Old Stock Hollow Stainless Tiles that we are going to install to the galley wall. It will be somthing unique verses the normal ceramic tile that weighs a lot. These are very light weight.

We,ll start with the tile tomorrow evening. ;) Thats all the pics for now.

:applause:  I really like the tile. Is that new to the market or something old? Would make a great back splash!

Glad to see you back, Heikki. Your build is what motivated me to undertake my project.

Off topic, but is this the strangest Formula 1 season that you have ever seen?

Hi Scott

Im looking forward to the tiles in the back however just uncertain if the entire back wall should be placed with them or just partially. ;)

Wishing you our best.

Hello Auntie M. The tiles were a hit about a year ago in kitchens but the trend seemed to have died. Not so popular anymore I was told. The tiles are new however there was only 2 boxes left in stock so we got them very cheap. So it was a find I reckon and somthing different to use on a teardrop. ;) :)

Thank You Tom. My build motivated you to start building? Wow. Didnt realize this. Im honored.

Formula is ever strange this year. rumor is that Raikkonen is going back to McClaren but still not 100% percent undersigned.

And as far as Heikki Kovalainen dont know what to say. The Finns arent doing too hot. Ugh. ;)
