Interesting there. I figured that you did metalworking for the railroad.

Even more impressed with your work now that I know your job  :applause:

That looks like fun. I'll bet you made that too!

Dan, your metal skills are amazing. How did you learn to do all that?

Sharon, you read me like a book !

got the hang of sheet metal by serving an apprenticeship.
lied my way into it after wasting my time at school trying to buck the
system, then realised its time to earn some money.

some people have the knack of chatting up the ladies,
some are good at electrics,
some can speak many languages
& some are great at woodwork.
i am rubbish at all the above !

in the wors of "the lemon jellies",
"im a rambling man "

if you have the time,
click blow & enjoy.

start to finish or its not worth doing !

Thanks, Dan.

You must've done something right besides sheet metal, though. After all, you have a wife, a child,....a nice family. :)

Plus, you also had enough imagination and adventure in you to build the Roswell and now a little motorboat!

I've heard that Albert Einstein was not a good student in school. (I think he ended up dropping out?) He didn't start becoming successful until he was around 35 years old.

You've already made some good contributions to the world.

fun

Postby dandan » Wed Sep 30, 2009 7:05 pm

thanks guys,

have to confess the boat was before the roswell.
it had been a while & think i used it as a self-ability test.

thats probably why it "floats my boat". (sorry)

there is a great download for an earley wet-bike with an out-board
engine which i may have a crack at.
it says with a 20hp outboard it can pull a guy on skis !

im sure it was called an "aqua-something"
will ponder some more over it.
(pondering is like faffing but without the effort).

im off for a few days now.
hpoe to post things of intrest soon.

best rgds dan.

found it.

well, they managed it in the 60's & it would be a bit
of a poor old show if it couldnt be achieved today.

ponder................................................................

best rgds, dan

That looks pretty interesting Dan, but I would be a little concerned about what happens with that prop if you fall of...
I have been kicked off a couple of times on a Jet Ski.

fun

Postby dandan » Wed Sep 30, 2009 8:41 pm

im with you on this one Wes.

it would need a gaurd/cage around the prop.
could compensate for the infringement
of performance by shoveing a few more Hp in it.

have never been on one myself.

still pondering on how the lovely passenger manages to
steer the craft with nothing but her bum-cakes.
its a mystery to me.
must take alot of practice !

play time

Postby dandan » Thu Oct 01, 2009 7:58 pm

managed to upload a vid of the boat on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPzxqkQGV-w
could do with the correct prop on it.
my camera skills are about as naff as my mates boat driving skills.

will do the same for the roswell soon.

best rgds dan.
