Bedding for a good nights sleep?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

My mattress cushions arrived today from Florida Foam. I got three 57" x 24" x 4" thick sections with the dacron cover. They arrived in a big shrink wrapped ball. It took me 5 minutes just to remove the the shrink wrap. Inside the shrinkwrap was large vacuum compressed trash bag held closed with a zip tie. I opened the bag and the foam immediately exapanded.

I tried them out on the living room floor and they seem comfy enough.

I got the 2038-medium-firm. I'm a big guy at 200+ Lbs. It supports me OK when laying down. The real test will come in 3 weeks when we go on our maiden voyage

I might try sleeping in the tear one this weekend.

Tom,

Thanks, I want to build a 5x9 and will be needing a mattress. Please keep us posted on the comfort level. I don't like my Knox one as much as I thought that I would. The wife loves it, though. Also, mine is 6" thick and I think that maybe the 4" would be more comfortable for me. I weigh about 210 and it seems a bit soft.

Thanks again and keep me posted on the comfort level after a few uses.

Florida Foam has 4 regular foam levels for custom cut pieces. Soft, Med-Soft, Med-Firm, and Firm. I plan on getting 4" thick Med-firm cushions, the same as Tom got, for my seat cushions. But, I also plan on putting a memory foam topper on it for sleeping. The Firm is probably too dense unless you like sleeping on the firmest mattress you can get.

Sometimes I pretend to be normal. But, that gets boring...so I go back to being me.
