Well, I met Kurt Busch today...it wasn't real interesting. He was at the Goodyear Plant in Lawton (where I work) for a "Meet&Greet" Just a handshake, a few pleasantries, and pictures. He signed an autograph for me, I told him "Good luck, man." And that was it. We got there late and missed the ceremonies and introductions.

:o  :P

It's almost always cool to meet a celebrity, isn't it?... and when one is a race fan, meeting a top-drawer driver from a top-drawer series is kinda awesome.

As for my take on Kurt Busch himself, he seems to have altered his attitude and general demeanor after his "interaction" w/ Phoenix police almost two years ago now.

His driving (and his car and crew) have been running and placing consistently better, too, recently.

Thanks for the post, Johnny!

That's cool. It's neat to stand next to someone you're used to watching on TV every week. You'll remember that for a long time to come.

We go to NHIS every year for the September Cup race. I remember the first time I went, I walked right by Ray Evernham, who was just hanging out near the front gate at the track talking to some people. I'm on the shy side, and had no intention of approaching him or even making eye contact, lol, but it sticks with me.

Go, Bobby Labonte! :worship:

Turns out that I think I lucked out with the pics like that. Coming late like I did...all the festivities were done, the Plant Manager, some other company bigwigs, and their families were getting their pics and I just kind of snuck in there.
