Why'd You Choose Your Username and What's It Mean?

Roly is a perfict intro in to why I was call Ronald.
My father's name was Roland
and every one who was not watching what they were reading would call out Ronald not Roland. So he called me Ronald.
My mothers name was Margaret but much perfered Peg. So my middle name started with a P. So mom and dad to gether were R. & P. Dickey
and my initials are R.P.Dickey :?

So thats Ronald not Roland how ever when ever I enter my name in the computer ans spell check it in spanish I enter in Ronaldo and it corrects me with Orlando. and at work they have me down as RDF not RDP a type-O(first and last then middle) and my fathers initials were RFD :oops: I guess he should have just made me Roland F. Dickey the second. ;)

A while ago, one of my online friends name was Illia and I asked her how to pronounce it and it was Eye, Lee, Uh. so for fun we put my name like that, it was A`me. So well thats where ame came from and I was born in 81 and graduated in 99

I don't know why I've been avoiding this thread for so long. I guess I thought my name was kind of boring. But tonight I read through some of it---and it answered some questions I had had! Nifty that it keeps coming back to life every now and then!

My handle, tearhead, I guess is pretty obvious. People who are into automotive stuff are gearheads. A person who is into teardrops....tearhead. Also, once I discovered this forum and got totally involved in reading, reading, reading in here, checking several times a day (still am) it seemed like the perfect name for me. My brain had been entirely taken over!

My middle name is Carter. had a favorite aunt that lived next door that called me that until she passed away a few years ago. She was the only one. Like it much better than plain old "Jim", my first name. I was Jimmy Carter long before the president was well known. Would like to go by Carter now but it's too late to re-educate everyone. Maybe in the next life (retirement)

Jiffypop207 was my choice do to the fact that I plan to skin my TD in aluminum, which might resemble a popped package of jiffy pop....color at least and 207 as in Maine's area code, yeah we only have 1.

Some very unique names! Mine is the Crappie Camper. Basically, for two reasons; One is i am an avid crappie fisherman and the other is people would mistake it for "crappy" camper.(Kinda of a play on words). When i finish my tear, i am hoping to have a mural of a couple of guys fishing for crappie.

Mine comes to me from way back!!!! :lol: I was real little when I started useing it!!!!!

On other forums I go by BigdogEMT "hence the avatar"!! Those that have met me might understand where the "Big" part might come from! :thinking: and I have been working as an EMT for a good many years it just seemed to fit!!!! But I am hoping that this will be more of a "Family Affair" so I used my real name.

I love rock and roll music and my last name is Robbins. My friends used to call on the phone and play rockinrobin into the mouthpiece. There ya go, pretty basic. Ronnie Robbins :moom walk:

I use my customized license plate of GLDLOX and HTWLSS on the car forums I belong to, but that wouldn't have made much sense here. My formal first name is Cetera (I go by Teri though). I logged on as "Et Cetera" here because it's one of many forums I follow, it was a play on my name, and I couldn't come up with anything unique that represented our teardrop.
