Are there any deserts for Friday night?

I don't mind making a smaller banana pudding if there is a need for it.

If so..........any rough idea how many folks will be eating Friday night?

Ooooooh, to keep with the cajun theme, we need some bread pudding with bourbon sauce. I wonder if I can find a recipe.

I LOVE a good coonass bread pudding, but I have never even tried to make it.

Anyone have a recipe?

Okay, a quick google search yielded a recipe. Any bakers out there want to help a cook make bread pudding?

As baking goes, it is pretty easy looking. The sauce looks really easy.

yeah, Mike...rice is covered...after doing a few of these, I learned to cook 20#s at a time...which is plenty for this group since they don't eat rice like a Cajun does

What time is supper?

It might be easier for us to come Friday afternoon instead of Saturday. If we come on Friday, I will bring potato salad.

Not me. In Port Arthur, rice was a basic food group. Rice and gumbo, rice and gravy, rice and beans, boudain (sausage with rice in it), and rice in your chili. I still eat a lot of rice.

Yeah, I was wondering if one of the dutch oven specialists here could do a bread pudding. I could make a sauce.
