Anyway, I'd join in a caravan from Dallas-ish.

I'm reasonably sure I'm leaving around 10 AM on Thursday. Times can be adjusted if someone wants to caravan though.

If I can get my arse out of bed, I might meet you somewhere to caravan.

Thanks for that Jack... and I see that goes around the north side of the city. Then ... I have these directions from last year I think.
And there's good signs , I remember it being well marked!!

Lake Bistineau State Park
103 STATE PARK ROAD
Doyline LA 71023

From Shreveport: Take I-20 east to exit 33 (Haughton/Filmore). Go to the right and then take an immediate left on Hwy 3227, which dead ends into Hwy 164. Take a right on 164 and go about 4-5 miles until you reach the town of Doyline. Take a right at the flashing caution light (Hwy 163). keep straight about 8 miles. Look for Lake Bistineau State Park Area 1 sign to the right. Turn left to enter main gate. Stop by the Park Office for further instructions!
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

We will try to hook up with BigDE and crew and have 7 TD's in parade. Should upset some folks on the narrow East Texas roads.

We are planning on leaving Thursday also. Maybe the Dog and Cat can peacefully travel down the road together...

Adam, I think u just answered my question. Looks like EVAC A SHACK is going on Thursday.

hum.....maybe I'll go after work on Thursday. It looks like the park is easy to get to. Any suggestions or is it as easy as the park's directions sound?

Linda

We will be leaving early Friday. Coming up 79. We should be in Henderson about 10am. Or we could come up 7 and meet you in Lufkin, We like driving though Davy Crockett National forest.

When you get to Shreveport make sure you take the bypass.

Thanks Steve,
We actually live on Hwy 7 between the Neches and Angelina rivers.
I really think I'll leave around 6 am which would put me ahead of you.
If I change my mind I'll pm you on Thursday evening and swap phone numbers.

That's a possibilty. Maybe Bobby will join us along the way. He's in Mesquite, I believe.

I could meet you at La Madeline on 121, or someplace else for breakfast.

Oooooo, if we follow you, we should be ticket proof, at least in Texas. :)

I am picking up my Honda Trail 90 from Vairman in Irving at 9 Thursday morning. After loading, etc. will head straight out--probably between 10 and 11. If the park is still flooded I can't see any reason to get there too early, but would caravan if the timing works out.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.
