I'm off!!

Postby mechmagcn » Wed Oct 14, 2009 8:49 pm

:D Well, in the AM anyway. I'm gonna start this vacation a little early. Headed to Wilburton OK for a fall festival and car show on Sat. and then on to Ardmore OK to see the inlaws (or is that outlaws?), and from there headed to Lake Bistineau on the 22nd. Hopefully I can find a connection somewhere so I can check in, but if not, I'll see everyone at LCGIV 8)
This is basically the same trip that Donna and I took last year, so I hope it will help me to get out of the depressed mood that I have been in. Traveling without my partner is still going to be tuff though. But the living must keep living.

Hi, Jeff:

Maybe you'll see some other teardroppers on your journey...Maybe Roly and his woodie teardrop. That would be cool if you two could meet. Also, my sis has a non-forum member friend named Roy who has a teardrop similar to JuneauDave's and he is traveling somewhere in that area. (He just lost his wife, too.) Regardless, have fun. It's an adventure!

Last year at the car show, there were 2 more teardrops, older ones that were totally restored. One was pulled by a Model A rat rod and I can't remember what the other TV was. I'm going to enter my TD in the show as a special interest vehicle since it got so much attention last year.

Jeff, we will be leaving on wednesday I think. We will be coming from Tulsa, Ok so keep an eye out for a silver MINI Cooper and a blue MINI Cooper pulling TD's. Not sure how we will be going but maybe we will cross paths before we get there.

Looking forward to seeing you again.
