LCG IV - staying til Monday?

Postby oklahomajewel » Thu Oct 08, 2009 1:47 pm

Just curious, thinking of staying over Monday at LCG (cuz the party never really ends.... )

Just curious who all is planning or hoping to stay on Sunday and leave on Monday , Oct 26.

I am reserved from Thursday to Mondy, but will decide later how long to stay. It mostly depends on work opportunities -- if I have some, I gotta take it.

Since I ended up with Thursday - Wednesday off of work, I plan on arriving Thursday and leaving either Monday or Tuesday.

Since I have no reason that I absolutely have to be back, I'll probably stay till Mon or Tue.

Made and paid for my reservations way back last November for three nights (Fri, Sat, Sun) not even sure if I would have a job this year.
If my request for "personal days" is approved, I'll be staying Sunday night and leaving Monday. If not approved, I'll be booking sick and only staying until Sunday.

We have Monday off but may leave Sunday and head North part way and then camp somewhere in Arkansas. It's a 10 hour drive from LCG to the front door of the house........ we've done it 3 years in a row but it makes for a long day and not very much recovery time before heading to work the next day. The weather will have a big factor in our decision, too.

I am saving my days off to make as many three day weekends as possible so I just booked Fri-Sun. Wow, camping more than one night?? What a concept, looking forward to it!

We're leaving NC on Thur in the early am, planning to spend a night in Memphis (Beale St, Graceland) arriving LCG Friday afternoon in time to peel shrimp :)
Not leaving until Monday but planning to drive to N FL to visit Mike's Mama so we will probably leave really early. Last leg of the trip is by way of
Savannah. I've always wanted to visit Savannah. I'll have to add up all the states we will pass through on this trip but it will be a bunch (9 or 10 counting NC).
I can't wait.........
:woohoo:

My son and I are staying 'til monday. But, we will probably leave really early to make a stop at Crater of Diamonds to search for gems. Never been there and thought Kevin (ny son) would like that.....almost like digging for dinosaurs. LOL
