Name them? Good God no. They name themselves.
Holy cow, Rose is a teenager now! Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

I thought of so many cute names for our Teadrop as my hubby and brother were building it. As we kept pouring money into it my not-so-happy hubby announced he felt he had the right to name it since he was building and paying for it. And thats how "The Sponge" got its name. Im not real wild about it but it has stuck.

My teardrop was purchased. My daughter looked at the pictures of my buy and said "Dad, the only thing you can get in that trailer is your butt."
It stuck and has been called the BUTTHUT ever since by all concerned. I have even placed a plate on the back with the name on it. Stirs up a little fun wherever I go.

Sometimes that's all it takes. During the whole build thing, I was calling mine the "trailer with no name". On it's maiden voyage to LCG III someone commented "Isn't that the cutest itty bitty thing?". It stuck. It's been Itty-Bitty ever since.

My build had just begun when my Wife was diagnosed and started treatment for cancer. To keep my sanity, I worked on the TD, so therefore it was named "Mental Therapy". As the disease progressed and eventually took her from me, I still worked on the TD to help keep my mind occupied. She and I camped in it for 10 days last fall before she got too ill to want to camp, but I have finished (if they are ever finished) it and now enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Ours is "DA MOOSE"

I think if you purchase one the name will come to you once you personalize the TD with something of yours. Anything - curtains, a decal or what ever - kinda of you placing your mark on the TD and claiming it yours..... Then the name will follow-

But mostly - make sure you have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a pontoon boat named the Looneytoon. The TD will naturally become the Looneybin as soon as it's finished.

Built #1 in 2000 and finally named it this year, "The Hyde-away" due to the vinyl headliner. If I put a vinyl top on #2 then it will be "the Hyde-away 2" have been thinking about naming #2 "Griswald" because what started as a simple, cheap, throw together build has turned into a quest. Anybody remember the quest speach from the movie Vacation. "we'll be whistling zipadee doo dah..." Have also though of the "family campster".
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

So, as an aside, I'm curious here...

Where or how did you get the name put on.
Painted? Vinyl? what's the best way to doing that.
Using a Sign Company??

Just wondering to get it stuck to the Aluminum...

thanks...
