I learned ALOT building that thing... one of those being that you cannot own too many vice grip clamps.

You can never have too many clamps of any style.

You got that right.
This is about 1/4 of what I have.

I need more clamps too. Most of these are from the last couple of HF sales (ratchet, "C", and bar clamps}. I have other 36" or longer bar and ratchet type, but they are standing in the corner of my storage shed. These in the pic are clamped on an overhead frame in my back sun porch, soon to become my workshop when I can close it in. I need more of the kind in Mike's picture, the spring clamps. Oh well, next sale...

Ordered wheels and tires tonight. I'll buy the axle in a few weeks and have a rolling chassis very soon

BG,

Last weekend I was admiring the same wheels on Trail-of-Tears, Steve J. trailer down at Goose Island. I really like the looks and was considering ordering some, but he said his are already rusting. I would put a good coat of past wax on them when you get them to prevent rust.

If they rust (Hopefully Not) I'll probably get them blasted/powdercoated whenever I wear out the tires...

Yup. I have got to find some Navel Jelly and then wax those puppies up. I think they will be fine, I just need to keep the dogs away from um. I still like the wheels, just not the rust. Oh bg check the wheels when they come in, one of mine was less than round and the Moon cap was very dented. They sent me a new one but it took a week.
Looking good.

Aftrer reading about rusty wheels, I checked the white painted spoked trailer wheels on my boat that I put on about 3 and a half years ago. They are starting to show a tiny trace of rust in the seams. I use it mostly in fresh water, but did have it in salt water once, but dipped it in and out of the fresh water at a lake boat ramp before coming home. I guess I'll spray a little WD-40 in the seams and wipe them down.

OK, before anyone comments about wheels on my boat, I meant on the trailer.
