I am hoping I will be laughing with all of you at my screw-up. I haven't done something this bone-headed in a long time.

Andif I find I find someone sniffing around my site . . . (you know who you are!)
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Of course, I could always quit.

Looks like it's going to be soggy.

That item wuz dated 10/15 & the lake was supposed to crest on Saturday (10/17) so maybe the level will drop below flood stage by Wed or Thur?? Hopin' it'll go down enough so the state park is open...! :worship: :worship:

...we were supposed to go up on Wed BUT, I just got this email from RangerDavid...........

Jack,
I wanted you to know that we have extensive flooding in the park; we have closed the entire campground due to water over the access road. We are doing this on a day to day basis, so please check with me each day for current reports. We have cancelled reservations for Wednesday, but I am hoping the situation will improve for the rest of the week. I will keep you informed. My apologies.

I have a phone call into them, hopefully the water has started dropping out so we can still party...just be prepared for a little mud around the party site........

MUD?

If they don't open the park, we will just have to storm the gates!

My news is good (for me). Cleared the vacation day dilemma. Can't say they are too happy about it, but I am!

CD--looks like you are stuck in the site you picked--again. And it is kinda sounding like it's a good thing I didn't get a water site this year.

Somebody go throw some big sponges in the lake and get it down.

Now to figure out a way to chop a week of prep time out of my trip.

HEY thanks for hour by hour updates oh Mad One !

Since Okiecamper can't make it , I was going to drive on thru Wed (ready to get outta town!) .... I don't have internet on my phone , but will check the forum before I leave and hopefully we can get in.
We could always say "to heck with the reservations" and just double up on all the uphilll spots ... now that would be one BIG party
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!
