For the big pieces I used two 1\2 inch sheets of plywood screwed together, cut out to the shape of the trailier, I made a lever that could be positioned in several locations that I used to pull the heated pipe around the template. I made several ancors so after its pulled around the template I could keep the tubing in place and then spray it with water. THis hardens the steel so it keeps its shape and puts out the burning plywood.

I thought about taking pictures of the process but I figured people would laugh.

Excellent build on both accounts! I know I and a few others would like to see your tube-bending setup if its still around. Quite ingenious! Piccs?

Sorry its been a while since I have posted

I took a trip up to Oregon with my Charger for a car show and to see some friends. I wish the TT was done, it would have been really neat to take it.

I got the farthest distance traveled award (504 miles each way) and an award for Best Mopar.

Anyways on to the answers to the above questions.

The lights I use are slim 15 inch LED lights.
Image
I didn't want them sticking out so we are working on making them flush with the rear.
If you look close you can see my license plate holder that has a light in it so the plate can be seen at night.

Here are two pics of my hand square tube bender made out of a fence pipe and old truck brake shoe.

A picture of my frame template and bending bar.
There is a twist screw in the middle of the pipe so it can be adjusted to length.
The wheel and guide bar hang onto the square tube as it is bent since I used a torch to heat up the tube to make it easier to bend.

I got my doors and locks installed.
Its almost time to start skining the TT with aluminum.

I have different samples of molding I just need to figure out what I want to use and buy the reast of what I need.

I will be going to the DMV tomorrow to see about getting my TT registered.

I still have a list of things that still need to be done.
Weather stripping
undercoating.
More polishing.
and a few other things.

Its getting close.

Looks like you could have made just a galley trailer and sleep in the trunk of that Charger.

I really like your teardrop. You can use it as a utility trailer too. Nice job.

Also remember I'm not building a camp trailer it will be a utility trailer to haul the luggage and car show stuff in. No kitchen.

No window needed.

What a beautiful car and teardrop!
Think I'd sleep in the car with a shotgun close by.
Let the memories begin.
