What stops glue from getting hard in the can?

Is it a contact cement? If so, you applied it incorrectly, if I understand right.

I used the same stuff on my aluminum skin on the roof...it was laid right over plywood....It will stay squishy for quite a while...couple of days...just give it time...the substrate will wick out all the moisture and it'll set up....just make sure your vinyl is well weighted at all the edges and corners....your best choice probably would have been to use the regular vinyl cement...but this ought to work...Doug

What's the purpose of the vinyl? You mean like vinyl flooring, to make it look nicer?

And you're taking about the underside, correct?

Yup...I'd leave it alone and weighted...I know it's too easy to push it and flip and go...but I think you'd be better if you waited but if you just gotta do it...use some firring strips in the areas that might sag....pull them off later and glue up the screw holes......just my opinion...Doug

Ive been building router templates to match my wall contours.If I ever go into business building TDs,I will have everything I need...lol.

I'll make side wall templates too. Partly so that any mistakes can be fixed before cutting out the sides, and on the off chance someone wants me to build them a trailer like mine.
