Is there money waiting for you? Find out here.

I stumbled upon this website the other day. I didn't find any money for myself, but I did find over $500 for other people that I know.

This site lists unclaimed property that may be waiting for you for any various reasons: unclaimed payroll, rebates, tax refunds, etc.

You can always go to treasury website for the state that you live in (or other states that you have lived in) and make your claim there. You shouldn't have to pay anybody anything to claim what is yours either.

Good luck!

I know, I didn't have any either, but I just started typing last names of people I know. I found over $100 each for my employer, my uncle, my niece, my bosses brother, etc. You may at least bring someone you know some happiness and luck. Especially with this junk economy, everybody could use some extra cash.

Is there a way to confirm the legitimacy of this website? It would suck to see it turn out to be a scam.

If you find your name, go to your states treasury website and look there. If you find it there then you know it is legitimate. There are scam sites that look up your name for you then want to charge you to make a claim for you. According to the PA State Treasury site, they give you a number to call if someone trys to charge you money to claim your property.

I'm in the money now!!!! Found out the Great State of Texas has been holding $10.89 of my money since 2002. I filled out the forms and will mail in the claim and see if I actually ever lay my hands on this long lost fortune.

Found in the Indiana Lost Money site that my Grandmother had $650 dollars coming to her. She passed away back in 85. I was able to claim it by showing proof of relationship and the she had passed away. I had to prove that She lived where she did when the money was due to be paid out. I was able to find an old A-4 of hers and a magazine with her name and address.

Here's the Indiana site if you have or had relatives in Indiana, I believe they keep it on the records for 25 years.

I found a couple of hundred dollars from a home closing a few years ago (escrow insurance money) and did receive a check. Took a while as does everything the State Of NC does.
