Hi Finn,
I'd like to say I'm still recovering from the flu. I was off for a full week, as well as about half of my class, many absences of a longer duration. It hit the school I teach at and has gone through the various classes as kids/siblings share it with each other. However, the amount % of absences has been no more than an "average" flu season. One day we had 31% of our school population out. What is bad about the H1N1 is the severity of symptoms and length of them.

I had it hit me out of the blue and could only stay in bed.
I slept 20 out of 24 hours the first two days. My neighbor, who delivered food to my door, found her daughter had come down with it two days after me and took her in for a test, and a dose of TamiFlu. Her daughter, 15, recovered days faster than I did because of the early diagnosis, within 24 hours of her high temp.
I had not had the flu for over a dozen years, and only got flu shots in the year 2000 and 2001 when I was taking care of an "at risk" person. The first year I got the shot I came down with symptoms that mimic the flu, but were gone within a day. Even though the shots can save lives, I still think about reports of the possible side effects...and do I want to be the one in a million who experiences them?? Life is uncertain....
