I watched this and if true it sounds like both our countries may be in for a rough ride if it passes.

I wonder where this thread is going. We had a great global warming thread a long while back and I learned a good deal more about the problem but it got too heated and was locked. I hope this one goes a different direction.

This video is mainly speaking on one treaty but the problem is really Article VI, Clause 2 of the US Constitution which gives great power to the president concerning treaties. Here is a great article from TIME magazine where the Bricker amendment was being debated almost 60 years ago. We still haven't done much to protect ourselves from ANY president, republican, democrat or any other who might find his way into office. This is not a partisan problem. It is not about Obama. No matter who we vote into office they have a power at hand which to me seems more than a little frightening.

Please, members. Be nice so we don't get this thread locked. Debate is a good thing. That is when we can all learn more about our world.

I certainly did not post it up to cause problems, only discussion. Remember there are always 2 sides to any argument, plus knowledge is good.

I heard Obama isn't going to Coppenhagen for this but he is supposed to get the Nobel Prize on the 2nd day so I'm confused. The cap and tax will kill the economy here in the Houston area.
