Thanks, Steve and Tom. I just hope it continues to go successfully. I'd like to get a coat of paint on the outside before Thanksgiving....We'll see, won't we?! I still have a lot to do.

teardrop build

Postby dandan » Thu Oct 08, 2009 12:40 pm

Hi Sharon,
like the build.
in the words of Hanibal from that fly-on-the-wall documentry called the A team,
"i love it when a plan comes together"
was going to ask if it will be ready for the summer bit i see you are in California
so that would be a bit daft.
had 2 weeks in Naples quite a few years ago & loved every minute.
will take Mum & Vicky to Disney when she is a bit older.
best rgds dan.

Hi, Dan!
I feel privileged to hear from you on MyAway thread! Thank you for your comments and kind words. I do hope my build continues to go well. After all, I am an "antique rooky"!

I am in Northern California and it will get cold and rainy here but not usually too bad. Where I live, we get a little snow about once every 5 years. Yes, I hope to camp at the IRG next summer.

I’ll be watching your Roswell build as it continues on!

Very Nice.

What is the name of the stain that you are applying?

No stain...Clear Minwax indoor/outdoor Helmsman spar urethane on white Maple plywood. I've put on 2 coats so far and will lightly sand it and put on a third coat later, after I'm certain that I won't be messing it up anymore. (I tend to be a bit klutzy at times. )

It’s the 21st century. I try to just be what I am....Me. :)

Thanks for the kind words. Your build looks good and is moving along quickly! I'm a bit of a slowpoke but I'll get there eventually. It's my first trailer build, too. :)

The walls are secured and the front spars have been added. The stationary ceiling is on and fitted but not yet screwed and glued. The blue pieces of tape are to remind me where the wall screws are.

:applause: Sharon,

What a great feeling it is to get the walls stood up! I know you had a big smile when that part of your build was done. I love the color of the interior finish. Your TTT will definitely be worthy for the Hall of Fame.

Aggie79 and SixtoTwo:

I hope I'm still smiling when I finish! Last night, I was thinking that after I finish this, maybe I should get my head examined for starting it in the first place!
