I and my wife would like to thank all for a great weekend. Madjack had a great party thanks makjack. A special thanks to EXMINNESOTABOY and his wife Kathy for letting us share a site and being great people that like a great fire. Wife and I did not get around much as we have not camped together or anything else in 3 years due to her family health issues. So we stayed close to home (camp site). It did not help that I have a cracked knee cap and a slipped disk so not much walking for me. We did not meet many folks due to this but for all that we did meet thanks for welcoming us to the fold. I believe for all we did meet they were very friendly people and proud owners of there campers.

I can't believe I met so many people that I already knew! I think I struggled to place people to their online personalities, I guess due to the sheer number of people (and an inordinate amount of excessive indulgence!), I flubbed alot of names, even people I already knew! (Sorry Glenn) I was on information overload but enjoyed every minute. I posted my 37 final pics here, whittled it down to a mix of teardrops, fun times, and natural scenery.

TxBum and company would like to thank Steve , Jeff, Madjack, Gary, Greg, Big DE, Alan and all the other mechanics assisting in repairing my wife Mary Jane's truck. The right side rear brakes went out, eventually had to replace the rotor and caliper to make home. Nothing like doing it twice. Seriously we had a great time and look forward to additional gatherings. Thank You everyone, your comradie and your rig set ups are wonderful. I learned so much. Hope my lil friend did not make you laugh too hard , only two weeks total time on the TxBum teardrop. Richard and Mary Jane.

Well... I made it home at noon today.

Thanks again to Jack for pulling off a miracle getting the parks changed over.

I drove just over 1000 miles from leaving LCG to backing into the drive at home.

I really enjoyed Lake Claiborne - the bathhouse was quite nice and the park itself was nice and clean.

Fairview-Riverside State Park in Madisonville, LA was wonderful - I was worried that I'd be too close to the main roads but it was nice and quiet at night.

Thanks to LA DOTD running a street sweeper, it took an hour to cross the 18 mile long Atchafalaya Basin Bridge yesterday morning. Also had a blowout on the final leg of the trip this morning, but no major problems at all.

julie i have 2 theories on the biscuit dilemma....

1..you forgot to bring them and blamed it on the poor coons...

2..it wasnt coons, it was the dog that cruising around freely throughout the w/e...

thats the first state park ive ever been to and did not see 1 raccoon for a whole w/e...

I asked about the coons when we got there and they told me they had none.
The guy told me the only thing they had was deer and there were lots of them. Guess that was the truth since no one saw any coons.

I guess I am one of the last to check back in. Got to George West last night and back to Corpus this afternoon. Long drive and rain, rain, rain yesterday.

Two huge thank-you's: One to Madjack for all his effort (his highly successful effort) at keeping this event great and on track after the derailment. This was a feat that will be remembered for a long time. The second thank-you goes out to Rayvillian (Gary & Trudy) for two days of breakfast hosting. Yum, yum, yum. Lots of folk deserve much deserved credit for great food, but Gary and Trudy seem to put in more effort each passing year.

It was great to meet all the new faces and spend time with all of you. I can't wait to do it again.

Oh, and congrats goes out to Mark and Cindi (Planovet) for "Favorite Trailer." It's a beaut.

I got really worried about those returning from the campfires at night to the other side. We always saw some deer crossing the road at midnight - caseydog - are sure it was stick you hit in the middle of the road on your scooter?. I could have swore i saw a deer limping along with small tire tracks on it's side!

Hey guy's just got home. We cut the trip a little short due to rain all day Tuesday managed to dodge it on Wed. Glad to be home but sad to. Last day out is always a bummer. the dogs we left behind and Trudy's tom cat are sure glad we're home though.
