Hello from Cleveland

Postby billaksblazer » Fri Oct 30, 2009 11:04 pm

Hello everybody. First i would like to say i have been visiting the board for about a month. I didnt feel i needed to sign up and ask questions because all the info is allready here. Im looking to build a trailer i can take camping and be comfortable(well duh arnt we all). I belong to a local offroad club and since most of the good ohio trails are in southern ohio and i am in northern, it looks like i have to drive and camp. The camper is going to be towed behind the truck pictured below. THe truck stands 7' to the roof of it. My plans are to make a modified widget. Looking to use the HF 4x8 and extend its width to 6'. The trailer will have 6' ceilings minus the ceiling rafters. Let me know what you think!

You mean something like this? Seems like it should work...

Oh, btw, welcome to the forum!

Welcome to you. We off road a little and have an off road trailer called a Kamparoo. It will go where ever the Jeep and FJ go. We have it in storage since we use the Teardrop mostly....Make sure of your clearance with your build cause we have some places around here, like yours in southern Ohio, that just to get to the campsites we can't take this tear. That's why we keep the Kamparoo. Queenie Jeanne
HEY a tiny trailer. Whatever it takes.

Any more progress on your design, or your build?
