It's easy to tell a left from a right sock, put the right one on and the other one is left. With mine the right one has a hole from my right big toe and the left has a hole from my left big toe, when the hole becomes big enough that my toe sticks completely out, then the right becomes a left and the left becomes a right.
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

I thought about that one and was, at first, stumped! I was about to write that I must be a man when I thought of a situation where there would be a distinct difference.

If the socks had a stripe or print on the outside only, such as a picture of Santa Claus or of the Easter Bunny, you would want that print on the outside of the ankle, not the inside. Or, if there was a distinct difference in the print or weaving/stitching detail from outside to inside, you would want the design detail coordinated with the most important detail on the outside. Other than that, who cares?! :D

:D  And if the sock has print on it the print goes to the inside arch area... .....

Ok, I'm going to flip this discussion. What a man can do that a woman can't. Find their keys! What is it? Is it pockets that men have or what? Now, ladies be kind, I mean no offense.
I have wisdom beyond my years. In fact, I'm nearly senile.

I'll try. I think there may be a couple things.

One big thing is distractions. Sometimes I get so busy and distracted that I set down my keys or glasses without ever realizing it.

Another thing can be little kids. They love shiny keys and will pick them up and play with them and then put them down someplace else. Or, a teenager may borrow the car and return the keys, setting them down somewhere unexpected.

Some women still carry purses and sometimes the keys get lost inside.

Well... quite frankly the obvious correlative for what guys can do that the gals can't is.......pee standing up.

But the thread about that in the Lady Teardrop forum sent that myth to rest.

Guess there's nothing guy's can do that the gals can't do. :)

(And that's OK with me... humor excluded)

:o  Learned that lesson early when sleep deprivation caused me to leave my purse on a London train. Got lucky and had my passport in my pocket....................

Been carrying my wallet and keys in my pockets from then on. I don't buy clothes without pockets (deep pockets). Well some dresses but they are the exception.

Personally I think it is nice that girls and boys can be different and can assist each other........... ;)

Iron sheets!!!???? Don't any of you still use a Mangle? It does the best job of sheets, and long sleeve shirts with starchy collars.

Have one --don't use it--will soon use guts to make a campfire rotisserie!

No... I have to disagree with you on this. There is a certain form of calligraphy in the snow that can only be done with precision if one has the proper tool. 8)
