Thanks for all the positive comments on my late night, last minute vinyl trim idea. Yes, it is the same size (probably a slight bit skinnier too) than the real wood trim that will be on there. I actually lost the front section of it on one side on the way home from Lake Claiborne, but I have more leftover to replace it while I am finishing up other stuff.

Here are my favorite two pics of my teardrop at the site last weekend!

I echo that sentiment. Watching the build on-line is one thing; but seeing it in person is totally another.

Thomas,
Cool pics! Your teardrop looks great and so does the park. Dang, I wished we could have been there - next year for sure.

your TD looks really good in the woods! hell, it looks really good, period.
Since this life here and now is all we can know, our most reasonable option is to live it fully.

Wow.. OK I might need to change the name again! That is the second time someone said "Looks good in the woods" and I thought that was a really cool phrase.

Thanks Burke and Paul!

Thank you everyone as well for all your kind comments, I built it as a means to an end but ended up putting my heart deep into it!

Hi Thomas
Do the poolice ever nag you about no fenders? Here in Utah they have to cover half the tire in the back. As you can see in my build there not going to do that. I figured that I would just see how long I can go before they nail me. Your teardrop is sweet. The Looks good in the woods kind of sounds like the movie Dances with Wolves I like it. I haven't got a name yet.

No one has hassled me yet, I've been out three times camping so far. I think the law is still there here too but it's just the people out to mess with you and who even know the law who would mess with you. They would probably mess with me about my trailer license plate (not Travel Trailer) too if so. But I am also a person who bought an old 1979 Toyota 4x4 farm truck from Tennessee with TN plates and 4 year old expired TN tags and inspection and drove it around East Dallas to Terrell (25 miles away) for about a year. I sold it and never transferred anything. I try not to go THAT far these days but I don't mind pushing the envelope just a little haha. Fenders are next on my list though...

No fenders, or, flaps, really, won't be troublesome until one drags their trailer down the highway in the pouring rain... then it'll be ro0stertail city! and the po-diddly-po-leece might want to issue someone a fix-it ticket.

Yeah but only if they catch ya! my Lake Tawakoni trip was rain rain all the way. Actually the rooster tails weren't too bad... OK they weren't great either haha. Here's me catching a photo on the way home during a break in the rain...
