Hello all. After several months frantically looking for a TD on Craigslist, I finally found a 1956 Benroy. It has been neglected and will need much attention. I am not a builder/construction person etc...in fact, furthest from truth. Have spent a career dealing with death and dying. I have a friend who says he will guide me but I will do the grunt work. Any advise...where to start. I've been reading all the sites but now to hear from you experts. Thank you in advance. Hope, Idaho

Welcome aboard!

If you want, you can start a Build Journal in the "Build Journals" section. Post a few pics of your TD as it is, and start asking questions. You will find plenty of folks here are happy to give you advice -- and a lot of it is good.

Start making' sawdust.

Hey guys, I already feel supported in my decision to purchase this Benroy. I should expect to have it delivered within the next week. I shall take photos and put them on here for your critiques. I can't wait to benefit by all the wisdom on this blog. I already know that the galley hatch will not close due to water damage and the two side door do not close for the same reason. I can only guess that this means all will need replacing? Also, the trailer is way rusted out. Does this mean I will need to take the whole trailer down in order to start at the bottom? Lord save us!!!!
