So - is the car now totaled?

I wonder what the CAR FAX will say about it -

And maybe we could buy it "AS IS" - cheap.............

That was in our paper today because the guy bought if from a dealer in Arkansas.

Supposedly, the car is completely totaled: electrical system shot, undercarriage badly damaged from hitting rocks, etc.

I didn't read the whole story, but had heard it on Bob & Tom this morning ... they mentioned it went into salt water ... so that means it's shot for sure.

But if they guy can afford a million dollar car, didn't he have a blue tooth for his cell phone? Or wouldn't it have one of those built in dash phones???
From the story:
"...and his cell phone slipped out of the car's center console, Smith said. The man was not on his phone at the time, but reached to retrieve it from the floorboard."
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

This guy was able to get his car fully repaired?

(And even before his parents came home.)

The owner is from Lufkin, and it happened near Houston. You would think he dropped his beer, not his cell phone.

...I loved the last line of the article..."he wasn't doing anything stupid"...DUH...he was driving a 1.5mil car, dropped his cell phone and while still driving, he reached to the floor for it, looked up and was startled by a bird and drove off into the water...not stupid...PUHLEZE...he should get a Darwin Award    ..........

 There is a WHOLE lot of stupidity and coincidence rapped up in that story isn't there? "NOT" talking on the cell phone... BUT... he dropped it?? HAD to pick it up?? Does so (because he needs it for NOT talking). Looks up and sees a GIANT bird coming right at em! Panics and drives off the road into the water... ON THE ONLY LITTLE STRETCH OF THAT ROAD WITHOUT A GUARD RAIL???

1.5 million ... and no bumps or bruises required.

EEEEEyeah.

I'd investigate if I was the insurance adjuster.

Actualy the picture speeks differently.. You wil notice his rear wing is all the way up. It is perportional to the speed he was doing at the time. It says he was going fast.

He would have to have died to be a true Darwin recipient.

He probably isn't as upset about it as his insurance underwriter is.

And I thought I was having a bad day when my battery was dead this morning. My world is a lot brighter now.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Could've been worse...

...Coulda been a teardrop went into the drink instead of a dumb ol' car...:o

As far as the comments I guess after a certain amount of money, one doesn't get accused of being stupid! Similar to the old joke, rich people are never "crazy", they're "eccentric".

Actually, when you go real fast in that car, the wing goes down. The wing then becomes an airbrake that tips up when you apply the brakes.

A car that costs that much is never "totaled", what's $250,000 repair bill?
