USB outlet for 12 volt systems

Postby dreadcptflint » Sat Dec 05, 2009 2:25 am

With all of the devices that are using USBs to charge (i.e. Kindle, Cell Phones, etc) has anyone one hard wired an USB outlet to their trailer?

I saw UK-Corlett's one and that is beyond my talents. I am wanting something more of the shelf than manufacturing the circit boards myself.

Next year there is the 110 AC outlet with 2 USB port for about $10. (Check out

Is there anything for the 12Volt or should I just get a plug for 12 volt plug?

You cold hard wire one of these into your trailer. Then you'd have easy 12 volt and usb connection.
