One of the fun things I wanted to do was custom graphics using the compass rose designed by a friend of mine for us. The places that do this for the recreation vehicle industry want to do LOTS of them for much $$$$. I was lucky to find a place locally that was happy to do one set, custom, exactly what we want for a reasonable price. http://www.badbrush.com
These are the possible design variations.

Nancy and I were talking about it last night, most of the modification that we have suggested or have requested on this one have been asked for by others i.e. the clock. the one that had been included with #1 ticks, and it hangs right over your head, not something they had thought about. Besides the "atomic clock" looks cool and is more accurate.

What we have found at the Tearjerkers gatherings is that the guys are interested in the technical and the wives are interested in the storage and galley. As I said earlier Nancy has designed the galley and I have seen the cabinets, it will look, well you will see.

To not have to "settle" for less, exactly what we found we want, is for us very fortunate, and how many manufactures would be willing to do this.

The latest up load from Eric includes 30 pictures but most of them are of the wring being done. My thinking is Boring for most folks but useful for me if something needs modding. I also know exactly how and why they are doing things as they are.

One of the problems I had with MM #1 was seeing the wheel wells at night. This was made worse by the reflective nature of the aluminum. I had them install a light so I have some idea where the wheels are at night.

I really like the fenders you are using as well as the wheels. Where does one find them at? Would you have product numbers for them?

You would have to contact/e-mail Eric at Eye4Design http://www.mega-minis.webs.com the wheels are from what I see fairly standard. Most of the sources are in Elkhart and Goshen Indiana. This has been the RV capital of the US.

Shadowcatcher,

Hows your baby coming?
Placed our order with the company.
I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas.
Can't wait till April to pick up our baby.

So it was you who delayed our build 8) Eric told me he was busy doing quotes and lost a day.
We should have ours with in the next two weeks, there were a couple of problems. The thermostat is a rather complex Johnson Control commercial unit and trying to mate the wiring with the modified window shaker wiring required him talking with the guy who did the modifications, who was out for the holidays. I was told the galley cabinetry should be in soon and Nancy gets pictures.
I picked up a 180W solar panel and now I have to figure out what to do with it. Try and mount it on top, store it inside on the bed or see if there is enough room between the tongue box and the trailer to store it

Yep, probably was me
Was going back and forth with Eric as to what I wanted and what I realy need.
One thing Pat & I are having done is a tri-fold mattress.
One of our concerns was being stuck inside during bad weather and wanted an option as for sitting.
Like in our Little Guy we will be able to put 1-panel behind us and 2-panels under us, thus having a modified couch.
One problem we are having is where / how to mount a spare tire.
Are you going with a spare tire, if so what is your mounting option?

Yes we are getting a spare and I have no clue where it is going. At one point I suggested it go under the rear end.

For bad weather I am planning on either modifying a Kelty car tarp to accept side curtains and or noseeum screen or having a custom made rear tent/shelter made by the folks at http://www.pahaque.com

I am still dealing with how to mount the solar panel and ABS mounts are likely to come from China or Germany (similar product). I talked with the folks making Filon and West System Epoxy will work and not void the warranty.

Long time since the last update :(
There have been some supplier problems so build came to a slow down.
So I have worked on other things. One of those was the design of a rear shelter/tarp and is I speculated Jeff at Pahaque has been interested in the design and has come up with a first prototype. The drawing I sent him showing the dimensions of the MM included one side drawing for height.
Image

The tarp is 6' wide at the trailer and will fit in the awning rail attached to the MM in the rear. It widens out to 14' wide and narrows down 14' from the trailer.
Image

For windy conditions one end can be dropped.

Image

The pictures are at their location in California. The plan is to have no-see-um and solid side curtains. The idea is to have a product that is applicable to other teardrops and provide much more undercover than other options with a minimum of hassle.

At the end of next week I will be taking the 180W solar panel and attaching it with its ABS plastic panel mounts to the roof using 3M VHB tape. I will also take a bunch of photos :D

Shadow Catcher

So it was'nt you holding up the production line at the factory and delaying an update to your build.
I was getting nervous as much as I am getting anxious for my production to soon begin.
I purchased a car tailgating awning for which I will try out on the rear galley. It is only six feet wide but has the same fold down attributes as the one you pictured. I'm not looking for the side screening as we have an attachable tent from our Little Guy TD or if that does not work we will use a seperated screen tent.
