From the Gloppy PNW

OK, I am going to order some plans. After this. I've got a little Chevy Colorado and want to have something to keep ready to go. I've camped in tents professionally and for fun, and I'd like to have a little bit more security. I'd like to be able to park somewhere and take off in my kayak, which I usually do quite a bit of, except this year when I had a house built and not much spare time.

Hope I don't get too cranky. That usually happens in August.

Nice reading and info on this site.

Oh, I live in Warshington, the state.

Hi, Stump-hugger. Welcome to the board. Are you intending to build, restore or steal a teardrop trailer? Which ever it is, let us know. Good luck on which ever you decide. Sleeping on the ground is no picnic, and when you do upgrade to a teardrop, you will be wanting to sell that tent.

"Gloppy" PNW - lol

I went up there last week to Quinault and Kalaloch. It was "crispy" WA then.

Your "more security" is one reason I like using a trailer. At least half my trips are to the redwoods, and I enjoy not needing to transfer food into the lockers because of bears.

Greetings from Central Washington. You might want to check out the free plans from this site. They have some great detail and it will save you a few ducats.

After researching, I'm probably going to build one. I ordered plans from Kuffel Creek because they sound pretty easy to follow. I'll look them over. I have a big shop to work in. It just isn't heated.

And yes, last week we were the cold PNW. Now we're out of the glop and back into the liquid sunshine.
