Does this trailer have potential?

Postby MUhunters » Wed Dec 30, 2009 10:30 am

I have placed two picture off craigslist on our album. The asking price is $250. He is guessing it is a 6x9 trailer. With no welding experience or friends who do welding, does anyone see any issues with this trailer before we check it out?

Hard to tell anything from a picture. You will probably have to go look at it. If you don't have access to some welding expertice, the location of the wheel wells might present a problem.

Very good point, the frame goes around the wheel wells. So would have to adjust the frame or get a new axle to extend the wheels out.

Thanks

I can't tell how big the tires are, but if they are stout enough, that trailer might make a good base for a Standie! Then you could put the bed above the wheel wells and use the gap for storage.

If you decide you need a bigger axle, you probably don't want this trailer.
