It appears to be Masonite, in pretty good shape.

$400.00 Isn't a bad price at all, I'd buy it but Washington is a long, long way from Illinois...

'Buy-it Now' for $1500 is still not a bad price for a little history. It could go into the late 30's, early 40's.

The husband has it in his head that he would like to rebuild an old teardrop. For $400.........maybe $800 I'd let him give it a try. Fortunately this is in Wa. so I don't have to worry about temptation!

I like the looks of the galley. It would be fun to try to resurect something that old but I'm not willing to buy something long distance without giving it a personal look over.

Where did you get it? We didn't get it, we built it!

Can't beat the classics. I'd say $1500 is fair.

It has been re listed for $375

They used the front end of a car. Hope they got the angles set correctly. They also kept the shocks, GOOD.

Looks like the tongue was bolted to the body and maybe to a cross piece over the axle. Looks to me the builder did not do any welding.

Looks like an old truck axle with heavy truck leaf springs, the way the axle is on top leaves very little ground clearance, looks like it needs a LOT of TLC. a whole lot!!! Once you start taking that apart, you might as well start over from scratch and build a new one. Then you will know what you have. Bill
