Oh yeah! Duh! I remember now, I think I might have even commented on it!

I have camped in CK2 four times, and every time I come back with ideas for improvement.

My main goal is to make CK2 easier to hook up, head out, and set up at camp, and then take down and go home after camping.

I also did one cosmetic change.

First, I repainted the frame to be all black, instead of the multi-tone paint job I had. I think it gives the TD a more solid foundation, and it looks more like the "tent on wheels" that I saw in my head.

I also revised the side table. Gone is the monopod leg, replaced by an arm that makes it independent of the ground. The TD can move without messing up the table, and the table hooks up in seconds, and comes off in seconds.

Image

I also added a cheap light to the galley hatch. I wired it with an exposed black wire to go with the spartan look of my TD....

Another small addition was my velcro strip spice and herb storage...

Smart moves all! I didn't think about once you got the teardrop set up that it would/could still move and mess up the table so that's a good thought. I think I spot some "herb" in one of those herb containers! but seriously that is a nifty idea too!

I broke the leg off my table at Lake Murray by moving the TD out of a puddle without paying attention to the table.

The 'herbs' in my containers are homegrown, but not illegal. They are homegrown basil and oregano -- I swear, officer -- really.

I really like the look of the black and khaki. Looks rugged. Can't wait to start my first!

Love that table idea . ReoRon has done similar, with just a 1x2 for the vertical support, then it rests on a block attached near the bottom frame.

I would hope you could attach some type of rubber piece to the edge that meets the trailer, so it will not mar the finish.

This is one of the ideas planned for my overhaul this spring.

OH and the spices ... good thinking! I just went thru mine in my home and dumped some old ones, but cleaned out the bottles for using in the camper . For sugar, paprika, spice rub, etc.

Hey CD, is there a hinge in that lower table piece of how do you have it attached? I am definitely doing a side table after my side trim goes on.

I didn't put a hinge on mine. I could have, or I could have done the 1X2 like Ron did. I just used materials I had already -- I am trying to use up my excess stuff before I buy more stuff.

Since I store my table on the mattress inside the TD, it doesn't get in the way with that support sticking up. And, when it is on the side of the TD, it is really solid.

You know my build motto -- Simple!
