Love your tear CD!

your side table not needing the independent leg is brilliant... but i think it looks a little funny with the straight angles... rounding the edges of the table top and the "triangle" leg to a radius like your tear would really look sweet.

not the edges against the tear, but the edges that aren't touching the tear? does that make sense?

I have always had this thing for minimalism, and have done this plywood edge table top before. I had a table in my first house kitchen that used this edge. I don't know why I like it -- perhaps the "industrial" look.

Anywhoo, I like it, but that's just me. Most folks would probably want to finish the table edges.

That table has been rained on, BTW, and has not started to de-laminate. I keep it waxed -- and I guess that is working.

Ah, yes. That would have looked good, too.

If I poke myself hard enough with that point, I will probably revise the design into something I can't hurt myself on -- unless I am really, really toasted.

CD - just a thought ...someone mentioned the "curved- look"...

I get the straight and plain idea ...if you had enough scrap lying around ....how about a TD profile table and a concave curved support??

The table would allow you to wobble past and the upswept support would allow for safer knee slapping.....

other than those two cent thoughts; Cheers - Nice build.
