Who's bringing the beer??

Postby tinksdad » Sun Jan 24, 2010 8:53 pm

I was rushing through Buffalo, NY airport yesterday to catch a flight and saw this on an advertising poster. Naturally, I had to stop long enough to get enough info to try to look it up on the web.

Could be just the thing to liven up any gathering/campout.

It's a 1947 Labatt Streamliner manufactured by White Motor Coach.

Besides loads of links to buy 1/24 die-cast models, I was able to find this link to an article about the truck and it's background.

If this has been posted in the past, I apologize. Maybe the newbs will enjoy it.

Maybe, but you'd have to try to sober me up and throw me out of it first.

Have you ever noticed that once the TTT bug bites, you start seeing a potential new design in just about everything? After a few of those Labatt's, I can just imagine the, up til that point unheard of, original designs that would be scribbled on napkins and Big Mac wrappers.

Ain't it grand!
