Excuse me, but here in the states, most all cars are left hand drive. To me, sitting on the left side to drive is left hand drive. I could be wrong.

While stationed in Oklahoma many years ago I purchased a very used '65 Chevy half ton which had right hand steering (had been a rural mail delivery truck). While still in Oklahoma I bought a new '71 Toyota Corola (naturally this one had left hand drive). Soon after buying that Toyota I was stationed in Japan, so the newer Toyota went with me. I can tell you from experience that it is much easier to drive on the wrong side of the car in Oklahoma than it is in Tokyo......

Yep, and driving in the Tokyo area is probably what made me that way..............

Actually I spent 5 years stationed in the Tokyo area in the late 60's early 70's with the one year in Oklahoma in the middle of that. What was worse than driving my little "wrong side drive" Toyota was driving those huge 60's Dodge Power Wagon crew cab 4WD trucks we had over there. You could see over most of the other vehicles when driving them but they were so long you often had to maneuver backward and forward to make some 90 degree turns between two walls barely far enough apart for the truck to fit. Other than the Jeeps, the Ford Econoline Pickups (we had no vans) were the easiest to drive off base. All the military vehicles were left hand drive (wrong side for Japan). Back then, and I'm sure it is worse now, if you were in a hurry you took the train, driving was always an adventure, especially on Sundays.
