New from Auckland, New Zealand

Postby beaglenz » Tue Feb 02, 2010 2:27 am

I bought a new Little Guy Deluxe camper last week (finally) after over a year of research and procrastination. I am planning my first trip away for a weekend on the 13 February.

The camper is currently in my garage where I can visit it any time of the day or night just to say hello and have a smile to myself ** proud Dad ;-) **.

These campers are quite rare in New Zealand but I hope to meet other TD campers in my travels.

how did a little guy make it down there? I think they are also in AU.. seems the import tariff and shipping would be big time.

enjoy.

Congrats!

I had the best vacation of my life in NZ -- one month touring the spectacular North and South Islands.

I envy you having paradise in your backyard to tour in a your teardrop.

Enjoy!

Hi

Nice to hear from another Kiwi.

I live in Torbay Auckland.

There are 4 or so Kiwis on the forum, not many out of the 10000 members.

pm me if you would like to get in touch.

I've seen them advertised for around 3 years now, along with some local variations.

the Little Guy ( I think ) was advertised for around 8 or 9 thousand dollars by the importer.

Another teardropper from Auckland

Postby Craig Burrowes » Tue May 04, 2010 4:34 am

Hi Nigel,
I went a bit more extreme with my project and built a teardrop from scratch.
Check out my album which gives you a bit of an idea of what I built.
We have now been away about a dozen times and it has been just great. Definitely a talking point wherever you go.
I would be very happy to show you mine in the flesh if you want.
Although you have bought yours already made there is still a million things you could do to it to personalise it and make it even more useable.
So if you want feel free to give me a call on 6365933 or 027 297 1942. We live in Onehunga.
Craig Burrowes
(p.s. this is just such a great website. I was in the States a couple of years ago on business so I looked Mike and Chell up and went and visited them).

Have fun camping!

Hi There

Welcome to the Kiwi teardroppers 'club' a very select group.

We bought our teardrop in November and have used it every second weekend for the whole summer. It has been really great.

Perhaps we could have a teardrop gathering somewhere central, once winter's passed its worst.

Give me a ring on 09 9100191 if you'd like to catch up.

Peter
