Another Earth Quake

Yep, another Earth Quake hit just West of Eureka. It's said to be a 6.0. Hope every one up there is OK.

Go to the GENERAL section where DRYVEM posted the specs under 'Another Northern CA. Earthquake', if you want to know the specs. I was just wondering if everyone is ok. In California standards, it wasn't a biggie. Glade to hear your doing ok Jerome. Dean was probably no where around.

For Us who have not experienced an earthquake - that sounds like a biggie to us - hope everyone is OK

It is amazing how much difference there is between a six and a seven.

just a short shake. nothing like last month. I am really surprised to hear it was a 6. When Kenny called to check on me I told him I thought it was just a 3.5 to 4. it was a small one. havent talked to anyone who thought it was anything more than just a little one.

I have them both on windowsills about 20" above the floor which is carpeted. They both tumbled off in the previous earthquake but did not break. :applause: Nothing even came off the shelves today.

This one wasn't much of a quake, I was in Costco again and didn't even feel it. Sure felt the one last month though. BTW, they downgraded today's quake to a 5.9

Being well east of earthquake territory I am pretty ignorant about them, is it common to have 2 in the same general area at this frequency - within a month of each other?

Hell, we have one every day somewhere in California. Some just a little stronger than others. :o Tanya has lost three houses due to earthquakes. After the one we had in '94, when I finally got home, I asked her for a divorce because I didn't want to loose my house.

8) Ah....today's was a piece of cake compared to last time. A small group of the teaching staff was eating together in the office when it waved on through....I thought it was just the gal walking behind me to go to the Xerox machine at first, but then the two people across the table turned pale and I knew it was gonna get bigger. It went for about 30 secs., a mild shake, and then I went in the cafeteria to check on the kids. Hardly any of them even felt it, although the Student Council was mtg. at lunch and they all had to duck and cover under desks. All in all, no significant damage other than some jittery nerves on the part of the teaching staff.

Thanks for thinking of us all here.....I'll be riding out the aftershocks.
