10 minutes of nonstop turkish getups makes me tired just thinking about it. I LOVE the idea of training on 'blades for balance. Should also build hell for stout ankle strength.
I compleated my usual walk and strength training. Had a bonus workout at work. A fellow wanted two sacks of deer corn. Usualy these folks park by the door. I got one sack on each shoulder, and asked where his vehicle was. About 30 yards acrossthe parking lot. Not about to wimp out, I gamely packed his 2 bags of corn across half the lot, not letting on that I was sorta pushing it packing 100lbs like that

Blades are supposed to be good even on bad pavement, but I never tried, as the ones that are made for an adult to actualy use seem to start (last I checked) at $70, and I didn't want to spend that much and find out they aren't actualy that good, or I just don't like them.
Anyone have input?
I used to have dreams of being a MA (or at least self defense) instructor, but it wasn't to be, or I'd be one by now

I skate on pavement that could be better....of course smoother pavement is nicest, but I take whatever I can get. I don't know much other than put them on your feet and go, but I bet Paul could give some better insight.
I'm thinking I might be due for a new pair this spring.

Not ready for that much challenge yet. Houston or austin, either is a near 100 mile drive.
Need for crash pads is the main problem. skate on the street here, you'll catch a peice of gravel or some such and eat road No street sweepers here.
Tonight's workout did my walk and bodyweight routine.
Still thinking about skates, jsut don't think they'd work. Bike might once I get more fit and get a good bike. Wife still wants a trike
