Very saddened to hear that Captain Phil Harris from Deadliest Catch passed away yesterday at 53.

Yeah saw that on the news. Anytime someone passes it is sad that someone will not be able to enjoy there company. I lost two sisters and find it constantly in my mind and it makes me very sad. :(

53.......... Man, he looked alot older than that. Those guys in that industry sure do push the human body WAY further than it probably is designed for. Red Bull, coffee and cigarettes will do a number on you eventually.

I will also miss him on next years episodes. This years show will no doubt have a great tribute to him.

He was one tough guy.

Deadliest Catch will be a lot different without him.

It is sad, but I can't say I'm surprised. He had a close call a few seasons ago, and you could hear the early stages of emphysema in his coughing. I just had a feeling he was not in good health.

That's just a shame. He was a crusty old coot. I'm not much for TV, but that show attracts me like a moth to a lightbulb. Phil, Sig, Jonathan and Andy always made that show entertaining. Phil will be missed. I used to be a Keith fan, but I kinda started wondering if he might not be bi-polar. :? Just kidding, Keith.

Sorry to hear that....his boat was always at the top for crab....wonder who will take over the Cornelia Marie. Guys like that live on the edge and I'd bet he'd seen more life threatening situations than all of us will in our lifetimes. Doug
