Relay for Life

I asked before posting because I wasn't sure, but very few people have not been affected by cancer in their families. Almost everyone at least knows someone that cancer has affected their lives.

Our Teardrop community is one of the most connected groups I have ever belonged to. We are like a large extended family. This is apparent at evey gathering we attend.

I feel like it's time for us to come together as a group and support the search for a cure. This is the time of year that the American Cancer Society sponsers the Relay for Life events around the country. I want to challenge us to suppor our local relays.

Find out about your local events at http://www.relayforlife.org/relay/crfb

If you want to do more than contribute maybe you can put a team of local teardroppers together and form a team and participate.

If you would like to just contribute, there is a link at the bottom of this post.

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful. I am so glad you posted this. It is a worthwhile event. Please, anytime you see one, hear of one or just see a bucket please give. :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

I lost my mother, my father and some very wonderful aunts and uncles to cancer. My wife and I participate with my daughter-in-law and grandaughter in the Oxford, Ohio one every year. The kids love it and there seems to be something for everyone.

davel is right, let's all pitch in to beat this thing. Maybe get together and charge a dollar donation to check our campers out. There are so many beautiful campers and talented builders here that I know we could get a large group of people together.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound like a commercial and I hope the site doesn't mind my going on like this but it is something coming from the heart.

Thank you davel for bringing this to light. :applause:  :applause:  :applause:  :applause:
Have a great day and hoping the weather is great no matter where you are!!!

Signed, Me

My sisters did the Avon walk in NY this year and the youngest one does a bunch of smaller ones too. I don't do the walkin' thing can't so I give her what I can.
She's pregnant right now and still walkin' all the time!

South Central has a team now!
Join or donate to the South Central Tears team at http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=team&fr_id=24062&team_id=642322

The South Central Tears team will walk in honor of Donna and her husband Jeff. Donna left us after a year long battle with cancer. Even those who never met her felt her loss greatly.
